Breastfeeding is a hot topic. Ever since Facebook’s policy change last year allowing breastfeeding photos on the website, mothers and photographers have been fighting against censorship and standing up for women everywhere.

Recently photographer Jade Beall posted a beautiful photo featuring breastfeeding mothers and their babies. The picture generated a lot of interest, both positive and negative.

Jade’s photography focuses on celebrating all bodies as beautiful and her portfolio includes mostly nudes. The breastfeeding photo was her way of celebrating women and sisterhood. Her first negative comments came from men requesting it be removed for being “inappropriate.” Later she received messages from women who found it offensive as well, which seems very surprising.

Jade ended up deleting the photo in fear of having her Facebook account suspended, but you can see it and many others in the article linked below.
