Poor Diet During Pregnancy May Have Long Term Impact On Child’s Health, Study Suggests

Royal Veterinary College conducted an experiment using rats. They gave some of the rats a diet full of junk food, and some of the rats were given a healthy diet. The offspring of the rats given the junk food diet tended to have higher Cholesterol with Higher Triglycerides in particular. They had a higher rate of insulin resistance and craved the unhealthy junk food. It did not seem to matter the sex of the rats, they both had a higher rate of unhealthy attributes. Scientists feel the same will be seen in human beings.
