I LOVE TINA FEY SO MUCH IT HURTS.

Sorry, let me start over. I really like Tina Fey. I loved her when she was Sarah Palin, I’ve seen every episode of 30 Rock three times, and I’ve read her book Bossypants way to often.

She’s my favorite.

One of my favorite parts about her is her tendency to be grounded, even as she’s become one of the biggest female comediennes in the world, especially when she talks to her kids.

In a recent interview with The Edit, she said, “I try to show Alice and Penelope patience and generosity – patience I fall short on – and that they can be working women and have a family. And yet – I joke about this with my husband – we spend so much time in front of them complaining – ‘I wish I didn’t have to go back to work’; ‘I’m so mad I have to work tonight’ – that I feel like inadvertently they’re going to be layabouts on government assistance. When Alice was small, I would bring her to the 30 Rock set because I wanted to show her why being famous is the least important part of anything; it’s a by-product.”
