The Top Baby Names of 2015
In the news, it feels like I constantly see articles yelling on and on about how depressing baby names are. Twilight references, Instagram filters, fruit. But here’s the thing. Real names are still actually real names.
A recent survey has been released by BabyCenter, revealing the top five names for both boys and girls. The number one name for girls in the last twelve months was Sophia, followed by (in order), Emma, Olivia, Ava, and Mia. Meanwhile, the most popular name for boys was Jackson, with the next four popular names being Aiden, Liam, Lucas, and Noah. It’s mostly classical names, which to be honest I prefer to names that come with a fad even if some weird choices (seriously everyone, Aiden is not an impressive name on the playground).
Seriously everyone, if you have the name you give your children are weird references that have way too many vowels, it’s just not the bestest idea in the world, for any and every one involved.
