Parenting in the Philippines
The world is full of countless cultures and the number of people seems limitless. Despite out differences, there are still some simple places of connection, where empathy takes over and it doesn’t matter where you’re from, or what you do or who you are. You get it. Parenting is one of those things.
Take Mrs. Bee from Hellobee. She went on an adventure with her family to the Philippines, which is about the exact opposite location than where most of us live. Theirs no postal services, no credit cards, and most essentials are a six hours drive away. It’s as different as could be from most of us. Her fears and concerns are the same as any of ours.
She worries if her kids are getting enough sun block. She’s scared of her kids petting a dog and it attacking them. She’s ecstatic to take her two children – Charlie and Olive – around and show them the nature surrounding them.
It doesn’t matter if you’re in middle of nowhere or the big city, surrounded by gadgets or living in a hut. Having children does something to you, and it all makes sense.
