Although much has changed in the past few months, one aspect of life that has remained consistent is motherhood. Because like other essential professions, motherhood doesn’t wax and wane with the economy, politics, or overall state of the world.

Regardless of the circumstances surrounding us, motherhood remains is essential- today, yesterday, and every other day yet to come.

So as we praise our heroic nurses, truckers, grocery workers, and every other profession putting themselves on the line to serve others, let us not forget to also thank the original essential workers- mothers.
