And a new study has discovered that health care providers are not helping matters because they fail to tell their patients about these health benefits. The study was conducted in Ohio and investigated 763 new moms for the benefits that can be gotten from breastfeeding. About 16 percent of the participants interviewed and investigated stated that they do not know that health benefits are associated with breastfeeding although they breastfed their babies.
