Preeclampsia is a reletivily uncommon disease, but it’s a difficult concern for any one who has to deal with it. And it still affects 2% to 8% of all pregnancies in the world. It’s even specifically the cause for roughly 15% of premature births across the United States.
The condition sets in after the 20th week of pregnancy, and signifies a rise in high blood pressure. It means that some of the woman’s organs may not be processing fully.
Ultimately, this means the mother has a chance to be three or four times as likely deal with heart disease and stroke later in life. And the women affected by this infliction may have difficulties when they finally come to term – babies born to women with preeclampsia have a higher chance of being delivered with low-birth weights or prematurely.
