The Heathrow Airport Decides to Trash Four Gallons of Breast Milk
There’s something to be said for security and safety as we fly all across the world. But sometimes, these things can get way out of hand. Take for example this mother, who just had to dump nearly four gallons of breast milk while trying to travel through the Heathrow Airport.
Jessica Coakley Martinez has been sharing her experience with aviation security while trying to fly through Heathrow Airport. The mother of an eight month year old is still keeping up with her career, which means she has to travel. As she traveled, she made sure to regularly pump and store her breast milk, to give to her son when she returned home.
But when she tried to get through security at the airport, she was informed she could not bring it on board as a carry on. It exceeded the limit for weight of carry-on liquids (even though it was frozen breast milk).
She vented her experiences with the airport over Facebook, and her whole story is heartbreaking. Check it out for yourself, right here.
