Getting an Assist From Strangers While Breastfeeding

No matter your opinion on breastfeeding in public, it’s always wonderful to see a stranger coming in and trying to help a mother in need. So these strangers rushing to the aid of a woman unable to breastfeed just warms my heart.

Ronja Weidenbeck is a mother from the UK, raising her eleven month year old son. But ovarian cysts brought her to the hospital, and she ended up on some heavy duty morphine. While she’s on the mend from the cysts, the medicine has left her unable to feed her son. Afraid that her son (who won’t take a bottle or cup) would end up getting dehydrated, she went to Facebook and found a private group named Breastfeeding Yummy Mummies, and asked if anyone could help. And within only hours, a number of fellow mothers were coming to her aid.
