Same Sex Couples Can Adopt Nationally, Because It’s About Time
A federal judge has just issued a ruling on a case, involving four Mississippi same-sex couples. They had been caught in controversy during attempts to simply adopt children. A recent decision by a federal judge has just made history – and changed the lives of these four families forever.
The judge has decided it’s unconstitutional for same-sex couples to be prohibited from adopting children in the state. This marks the fiftieth and final state in the country to allow gay adoption, which is about damn time. US District Judge Daniel Jordan, who issued the decision, wrote that , “…it seems highly unlikely that the same court that held a state cannot ban gay marriage because it would deny benefits — expressly including the right to adopt — would then conclude that married gay couples can be denied that very same benefit.
