Stopping a Service Dog From Doing His Job
Service dogs have been proven on countless occasions to help children and adults around the world make it through the day. It’s a wonderful concept, giving people in need the edge they need, and giving that responsibility to an adorable and loyal pet is great. Which it’s why it’s so confusing to see things like this.
A Florida standardized test was being held at a local school, which meant that Elizabeth had to send her son in for the test. Elizabeth home schools her nine year old (and autistic) son, who has also been assigned a service dog to help deal with his condition. But when it came time to take a state wide test, he was forced to go to a local elementary school. Since her son is too young to handle the dog himself, Elizabeth went with him to the exam.\
It was there that she was told to leave, but that the dog could stay. Which, is sort of against the law.
