In 2014, over 380,000 babies were born prematurely. In layman’s terms? That means one in ten babies were born prematurely. According to a recent study by March of Dimes, the United States is one of the world leaders in both premature births & deaths. This means that, as a whole, the United States ranks as a C for it’s prematurity rate. And while a C isn’t the end of the world, this is sort of the thing we should be on the honor roll for.
Only four cities across the country earned a solid A, including Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington, and only a handful of states could muster the same scores.
