As if pregnancy wasn’t hard enough, being pregnant while you also have a toddler running around the house can make you feel as if you’re living in the circus. Not only do you have the physical demands and exhaustion of growing a baby inside of you, but toddlers are notoriously demanding when it comes to playtime, needing assistance tying shoes, and pretty much everything else. One of the hardest things to do when you’re pregnant with a toddler is helping them tie their shoes each morning. As your bump continues to grow throughout your pregnancy, bending down to ground level with your child becomes less and less of a possibility. Save yourself the trouble and invest in some velcro shoes or slip-ons for your kid until the baby comes. Another unexpected complication? Fixing lunch or dinner for your toddler when you’re having extreme food aversions or sensitivity to smell. Trying to get your kid to eat their carrots when you can’t stand the sight of them without wanting to vomit is not an easy task.
