Terrific Tips for Starting Solid Food
Your tiny little baby grows so fast, before you know it you’re picking out adorable baby-sized spoons and first solid foods. The transition to solids can be a bumpy ride, but these tips from Scary Mommy can help!
First, cover anything you don’t want baby food to get spilled (flung, smeared, etc.) on, like the floor and the walls. Make sure you’re covered in old clothes and you’re baby is wearing nothing but a diaper. Bath time is likely to follow dinner, or at least keep some damp wash cloths handy.
Secure your baby into the high chair and keep several baby spoons at the ready, because a couple are likely to hit the floor. Your baby will get food on his face, and no you don’t have to wipe it off right away. More will follow!
