After Being Publicly Shamed Online, Breastfeeding Mom Responds
Breastfeeding in public should be seen as a normal, natural thing, but there are still too many clueless among us. Recently mother Conner Kendall was breastfeeding in T.G.I. Friday’s and had her photo taken by a man without her knowledge. It was then posted on Facebook and Instagram, saying she should cover up.
Kendall felt very hurt by the act, and on behalf of all nursing mothers she responded to the stranger with harsh words. She informed him that while he felt his right to eat in a breast-free environment was being violated, he was actually the one violating her rights by photographing a minor without permission.
Apparently the man apologized, but it didn’t seem sincere. When will people understand that our children have every right to eat where we do, and that feeding from the breast is as natural as it gets?
