Don’t ignore guilt – learn from it

No one likes feeling guilty. Sometimes we do or say things to our kids or friends and family that we regret. Often others will comfort us and tell us not to feel guilty and that everything is okay in an attempt to squash the negative feelings, but is that healthy?

Abby Theuring has a great commentary on the subject over at Breastfeeding Basics. She believes repressing feelings of any kind has consequences, and that we need to process and learn from our emotions.
