Recently US Airways denied mom Carolyn access to her breast pump which she needed to use at her next layover, citing that it was not a medical device.

US Airways’ parent company American Airlines as well as the FDA cite that it is a medical device, but Carolyn was kicked off her flight for refusing to comply.

The incident began a conversation that led US Airways to change its policy.
