Heartburn meds tied to childhood asthma
Research is showing that children of mom’s who took heartburn medications during pregnancy are more likely to be diagnosed with asthma at a young age. There’s nothing saying that the medication is the cause. More studies are to be done. It is still suggested to follow doctors directions during pregnancy. If you find you have trouble with heartburn during pregnancy it’s suggested to eat less acidic and processed food along with eating 3 smaller meals a day rather than larger ones.
