Get Your Work Permission Slip for Pregnancy
A credit union in China has recently announced a new policy regarding pregnant employees. Female employees who are married and have been with the company for at least one year are eligible to apply for a place on the birth planning schedule. If a pregnancy occurs outside of the approved timeframe, the employee is denied their year-end bonus, lose a chance at promotion, and be subject to a fine. Justification for this policy is the concern that the company would be negatively affected if everyone got pregnant at once.
