Some restaurants still don’t understand breastfeeding law
Recently a mother was hassled at a seafood restaurant in Illinois and told to cover up or go to the bathroom for breastfeeding her 6 month old baby. Kristal Tomko was being quiet and discreet when she was offered a napkin by the hostess and urged to cover. After explaining the law was on her side, the hostess got the manager, who then told her the same thing.
She decided to take her baby to her van to nurse, and was too upset to eat herself. She posted her story online, and the restaurant’s reply left much to be desired. It seems they still don’t understand the law.
