A heartbreaking story about the struggle of a dad and his desire to keep his Down Syndrome son has been making its way around the Internet. Almost $500,000 has been raised via a GoFundMe campaign, but we’ve only heard from his side… until now.

The mother has spoken up, saying her husband’s allegation of child abandonment isn’t entirely true and that he made no attempt to work with her to find a common solution. However, she doesn’t explicitly deny that she wanted to give the child up.
