The model has posted several images of herself nursing her son on Instagram, and the response has been shocking. The backlash that Graham has received proves that despite the 2018 law permitting mothers in all 50 states to breastfeed in public spaces, society still has a long way to go in the normalization of nursing in public.

Instagram comment: "He's going to be mortified by this someday. This is purely for attention for yourself." Instagram comment: "Nursing your child should be a private and special time of bonding... you have tarnished the experience." Instagram comment: "Why do people think this so acceptable and keep pushing it on everyone," saying public sex will be normal next Instagram comment: "Some things should not happen in public view... breastfeeding is one of them." Instagram comment: "I don't wanna see this while drinking my coffee... put a towel over your titty and call it a day"
Although the criticism has been plentiful, Graham has also received equal parts supportive and encouraging comments from fans and fellow moms, further proving the polarizing nature of the conversation surrounding public nursing.

Supportive Instagram comment: "Anytime, anyplace, baby's gotta eat. Thank you! #normalizebreastfeeding" Supportive Instagram comment from a verified account: "This!!! You're doing great, mama!" Supportive Instagram comment: "I love seeing other women breastfeeding in public because it helps me feel more confident doing it" Instagram comment: fans love her bikini photos "but put a baby on a boob instead of a triangle top and they all lose their minds" Instagram comment: "So nudity is only allowed when it's sexy?... A woman is feeding her child in the most biologically natural way"

Despite the backlash, Graham is showing no signs of stopping, and by doing so, is bringing awareness, inspiring conversation, and encouraging other moms to exercise their right to breastfeed their babies- whenever and wherever they see fit.
