The popular children’s show “Sesame Street” has added a character which will help introduce the concept of blended families. Rudy, a red-horned monster, is the new step-brother of Abby Cadabby. Abby’s mother and Rudy’s father will marry later in the season. The children’s show will do scenerio’s depicting various stages of Rudy and Abby getting to know each other. This will include their first meeting and deal with differences between them and how they relate to things. Sesame Street hopes to help children embrace the idea that families appear in all different types.
